what are you waiting for? Enter the COURS ÉCRIRE TON COURT ! – SPRINT FOR YOUR SCRIPT ! contest. Submit a first draft script for a short drama or animated film (maximum length: 12 minutes) by August 17, 2009.
There are prizes: $5000 cash from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec plus participation in the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, with all expenses paid by SODEC (a $3,000 value) for the Grand Prix with the Special Mention winner also gets. Winner of the CBC/WGC Prize gets $1000!
How to enter:
Proposals must be delivered or received by mail before 5 p.m. on August 17, 2009. Entries received after this deadline will be disqualified.
Proposals must be delivered or sent to SODEC offices at 215 Saint-Jacques Street, Suite 800, Montréal, Québec H2Y 1M6, to the attention of Francine Landry. Please include four copies of each of the following items:
first draft of the script with dialogue (maximum length: 12 pages)
completed entry form
synopsis (maximum length: ½ page)
statement of intent describing the origin of the idea and the writer’s vision
brief CV (maximum length: 2 pages) outlining the applicant’s relevant experience.E-mail submissions are not allowed. None of the submitted material will be returned.
