OscargoogleYay!  The Sesame-thon on Google continues, today with Oscar.

Wednesday it was Bird, Thursday, Cookie, Friday Bert and Ernie and today Oscar.  A welcome addition to the collection.

I’m left hopeful that Sunday is Grover day.

Sure, there’s competition — not in my mind, but the Guardian suggests Elmo is one of them most loved of all time characters.  It’s true, Elmo did have that popular toy, the Tickle-Me Elmo.

The only way they’d include Prairie Dawn is on the gender equality basis; she’s never been top tier.  But The Count could be a contender.

And Kermit… Kermit was big.  But maybe more as a symbol of Henson than of Sesame Street.

I’m still hoping for Grover

  1. I hate elmo, not only because he’s annoying, but because a lot of the work Grover used to get went to Elmo after he was invented, so we get less Grover.
And when was the last time Herry got any work? Sure, kids today might not get a Jimmy Durante reference, but cmon.
