Check out Webster’s Save the Words site. From the dictionary people, the site is a beautiful array of words in various fonts, sizes and colours crying out for you to pick them. It also encourages you to “adopt” and use older infrequently used words in order to preserve them.
Or the site offers a ton of sometimes hilarious ways you can save them, including name your pet, use them in scrabble or tattoo them on your arm.
You can even put your favourite on a t-shirt.
I don’t know that this will turn Websters dictionary into a leeftail, but I can definitely see egroting for a day in order to play with the site.
